# 2 Leadership Letter - EMOTIONS as NO 2 of 5 basic elements

Did you know that leading and living with depressed emotions over time is not sustainable for you, your career and life?

Why is this important?

This is important because we have limited time and energy - we want a personal experience of ease and joy at work and in life.

It will create what I call bugs in your vitality system. Your vitality system is your operating system, like a computer has an operating system. Some bugs you can live well with, others will challenge your human nature natural way of functioning. Over time you might experience a form of full stop, break down or burn out.

As you understand, it is worth paying attention to your own feelings and ensuring that you are well connected with them. Allow to let your emotions guide you in different situations, as if they were your inner compass. Your emotions are feedback on where you are, and need to move, in your life and in your leadership situation.

In an energy perspective, emotions also are an electromagnetic frequency and wave in the same way as your mind. They are sent out into your environment through your heart energy. Through the principles of magnetism, more of the same is attracted. It is empowering when the positive attracts more positives. It's disempowering when limiting emotions attract more of the same. 

It is time to more consciously secure your awareness and connection with your emotions. Everyone wants to feel good. Most of what you do is done with a purpose to feel better. All change therefore starts with changing how you feel first. Only then will the experience of the world around you change. This is crucial to understand and practice to attract and perform with ease and joy. It`s a way supporting you to avoid stressful success. 

It is a relatively familiar phrase that expresses that.

"You more easily forget what others say and do, but that you find it harder to forget how others made you feel".

Are you open to exploring and understanding what you do not see and understand today that you will benefit to understand? In practice, unconscious thoughts, feelings, beliefs, patterns and memories stored in your energy can represent a form of upper limits, or be experienced as a glass ceiling for you to step into your potential. For those who live with some form of feeling not being good enough, they will in practice hold themselves back but explain it with upper limits/glass ceilings for others. It`s not the reality. You can change it if you are willing to do the work.

As a leader, you might keep the company from optimizing results or holding back from making necessary changes and positioning the company for future possibilities. It is therefore crucial that the top management team understands how these 5 elements/dots are connected. It says something about which ingredients are important in leadership development, in addition to the more traditional leadership development.

The good news is that it is possible to explore the emotions that have become a form of pattern and in that way a kind of addiction. Something you nourish yourself with. From an energy perspective, you can clean up this and replace it with more positive addiction that serves you.

Learning to lead thoughts and emotions might be the most important leadership skill you can acquire.

Tony Robbins said this at a training I attended. I agree, and here I have tried to explain why.

Such thoughts and feelings of not being enough become over time a form of pollution in our system of vitality. We lose the good clear thoughts and feelings of self-worth that we are. As this develops over time, we develop a negatively charged wellness core. A poorer starting point for ourselves to create what we want to create or succeed with.

We are personally 100% responsible for ourselves and the way we move forward in business, career and life. If you feel differently you might be in a pattern of disempowering yourself. 

Investing in yourself is probably the most important investment you can make.

When you know that how you think is affected by your emotions, you understand how important the connection between thoughts and emotions is. 

The opportunity is to change your emotions from being on a low to a high frequency or level. When you feel brighter and lighter, actions also usually become more inspired. Creating what you want will be easier and the journey towards your goals will also be more nutritious. Good to keep in mind.

  • What habits can you incorporate into your daily routine to train yourself to become more aware of how you feel?
